About vSudoku

vSudoku is a free place to play Sudoku online — clean, fast, and open to everyone, with no account and no download.

Our story

vSudoku started from a simple frustration. Many Sudoku sites bury the board under pop-ups, force you to register before you can play, or lock the useful features behind a paywall. We wanted the opposite: a page that loads quickly, puts the puzzle front and centre, and lets you start solving the moment it appears. That idea became the site you are using now.

What we offer

Every puzzle on vSudoku is generated on the spot, so you are never replaying the same board as someone else. Each one is checked to make sure it has exactly one valid solution — the mark of a fair Sudoku — which means you can always finish through logic rather than luck. You can choose from six difficulty levels, from a relaxed Easy grid to our toughest Evil challenge.

Alongside the board we include the tools serious solvers expect: pencil notes for tracking candidates, number highlighting, unlimited undo, optional hints, and a timer. All of it is free, and all of it works on phones, tablets and computers.

Who it is for

Sudoku has no age limit and no barrier to entry, and neither do we. Whether you are a complete beginner following our how-to-play guide, a commuter filling ten minutes, or an expert hunting for a genuinely hard grid, there is a level here for you. If you are new to the game, our tips and strategy page is a friendly place to start.

How we keep the site free

Running a website has real costs, from servers to development time. We keep vSudoku free by showing advertisements around — never on top of — the puzzle. We work to keep ads unobtrusive so they never interrupt a solve. We are grateful to every visitor who plays here, and we are always working to make the experience better.

Get in touch

We genuinely like hearing from players. If you have found a problem, have an idea for a feature, or simply want to say hello, please visit our contact page. Feedback from the people who use the site shapes what we build next.

vSudoku is an independent website and is not affiliated with any other Sudoku brand or publisher.
